Portland Ballet

Tonight was amazing - the ballet was at the Newmark Theater downtown and our seats were in about row 9 center. Typically the price would be around $100 but we were able to get "rush" tickets at the last minute for $10 per person.

The best part was that we're friends with the Ballet Director so we had a personal tour back stage during one of the intermissions.

Flash photography isn't allowed of the dancers but the one shown here is the woman who takes care of the lighting and music and generally makes sure that technically everything is on cue.

Several of us ended up back at the Heathman for Irish Coffee and a cheese plate so I'm staying up way............... beyond my bedtime. The news just came on and the Blazers are down 3 to 1 in the Playoffs so that's why the City was so quiet as we took the taxi back home.
