The morning started with brunch at Mari and Stewart's condo. They live on the ground floor so they have a small patio and back yard so brunch was served outside under the trees. There were twelve guests so the conversation was lively and the food was fabulous. Mari is a gourmet cook so everything was delicious with a beautiful presentation.
This evening Merry and I walked to the Heathman Hotel for an early dinner followed by a Live Recording Session with the group Pink Martini and the Portland Symphony. The founder is Thomas Lauderdale who lives in Portland. Much of their music is Latin rhythm and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We both bought several CDs so instead of getting to bed, I'm writing this blog while listening to the music.
