Day Trip To Wilsonville

Today I joined a group of 24 Seniors to travel to Wilsonville. The day was sponsored by the Oasis Learning Center and it started with my catching the streetcar at 7:45. I just returned home at 6:00 p.m. and I am so tired that I can hardly keep my eyes open. It was a wonderful day but we were on the run the entire time. After the streetcar ride we boarded the MAX, then transferred to a new train that runs between Beaverton and Wilsonville - then onto a bus and finally we arrived at the Wilsonville Library. Three charming ladies gave us a historical presentation about their ancester Daniel Boone.

Wilsonville was originally named "Boone's Ferry" because one of the Boone members started a ferry that transported people and cars over the Wilamette. The lecture was followed by lunch and then some of the people took a hike through a park and the rest of us boarded a trolly to see the historical sections of the town. Then it was time to reverse the order of transportation so it seems like we were running from a bus to a trolly to a train to Max and then to the streetcar so........................... I think that I've had enough for one day!
