This will be my last blog until we are settled in Paris. We fly out of Portland Sunday morning and we arrive in Paris Monday at about 11:30 a.m.
Alicia will live in my condo and take care of Bella while we're away and she will know how to contact us as we travel through Europe. I also expect to be able to communicate by e-mail. If you need to contact Alicia, her phone number is (360) 908-7247.
It looks as though it has rained through most of the night so the air is fresh and the trees look bright and clean. It has been several months since we had any significant rain so it actually feels nice to know that our surroundings have had a "bath". The only unfortunate thing is that Portland has a lot of outdoor activities for Labor Day Weekend so it's likely that plans will be changed for the Art Fair in the Park Blocks and the sidewalk sales in the Pearl.
