This afternoon Afran drove us to the Louvre where we had an enjoyable experence. We only had the afternoon to explore so we each chose the areas that were most important to us.. We started with the Egyptian area first, followed by the ancient Iranian area - then we went through the section "objects d'art" which featured furniture, paintings and carpets from the Louis XV era. We finished the afternoon by seeing Mona Lisa along with many famous and fabulous paintings.
Then it was time to experience the Metro for my first time. Roger is familiar with Paris so he found the Metro station near the Louvre and we headed back to the apartment. The system is very efficient with trains coming every minute. Once we got off the train it was a very short walk back to the apartment.
