Rosanna and I went to the 11 a.m. service at the Cathedral but before leaving we wanted a photo of the interior of their unique elevator. The metal work appears to be hand crafted and the designs date is to somewhere early 20th Century. It creaks and groans but it gets us where we need to go (certainly better than walking six flights of stairs).
After church we headed for the underground station about an eight block walk. The station is a bit grubby inside but the trains are sleek and modern. One of their stations still has the original wooden cars so later in the week we'll ride that route to get some photos.
After leaving the underground we walked past the "Pink House" - like our White House - then to Plaza Dorrego in San Telmo where they have a Sunday craft and antique market..
