Ron wasn't feeling very well so he stayed at the apartment. Rosanna has a favorite French cafe in San Telmo called Petanque so we went there for lunch. When we were seated we were each served a generous glass of sherry and presented with the menu. They have a special "Plate de Jour" on Sunday, Duck Confit so we decided we each needed to order a plate. We added a glass of Malbec and shared Creme Brulee and the total bill was $140 pesos (about $39 US). At about 1:30 p.m. the tables were mostly empty but when we left about 2:30 every table was filled. The bar is like any that you would find in France and the menu is only in French and Spanish so, reankfully, Rosanna knows a little of each language to help me choose the food. I've only been here one day but I already feel more comfortable with the Spanish language and since all the groceries are marked in Spanish it forces one to quickly learn.
