The weather here today is fabulous so it only seemed right to meet a friend for lunch at Jakes Famous Crafish Restaurant on 12th and Stark. First we made a stop at Stumptown to get more coffee beans.

Jake's has a fabulous Chef and they offer a "Blue Plate Special" each day for only $7.95 and today is was fresh fish. After lunch we walked through the Pearl and caught the streetcar to take us out to 23rd Avenue. The only bad thing was that Bella was still at home so she couldn't join us.

Tonight is the annual meeting of our Homeowner's Association so we get a "free" dinner next door at the Hotel. (I guess that my $436 a month HOA dues are helping to pay for it). There's always a cost to living downtown and I have no regrets.

I'm looking forward to flying to S.F. tomorrow to see Ron and Rosanna and spend some money at the Bonham's Butterfield's Auction.
