This is part of the bounty that I bought at this morning's market. The artichokes are Italian artichokes so they have a purple tinge to the leaves. The vendor had a few chokes that had been left on the plant until they "bloomed" so I learned that they can be dried and used as a decorative accent.
One advantage of shopping at the market is the "adult beverage" reward when I return home. CHEERS ....................
