Our drive today was easier than we anticipated with light traffic the entire trip. The drive from Redding to Ashland was beautiful with only a sprinkling of snow on the mountains near Ashland. Shasta has much more snow than last week.
If you happen to be in Redding we found a great coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch all day. It is near the freeway and the name is Country Kitchen. On this trip we stopped there both times.
Tomorrow it's about a 4 1/2 hour drive to Portland. It was an enjoyable trip to California but going home is always nice, too.
