My plan tonight was to tell you more about my California trip but as they say" this is breaking news". I'm sitting at my computer watching five fire trucks dealing with a condo fire on the third and possibly fourth floors. I am on the lobby floor so the fires are to my left side and two floors above my unit.
I'm guessing this will be a major Portland news story tomorrow morning.
A fireman came to the door to tell me that things were under control and that I didn't have to evacuate so that's a good thing. I'll write more about my visit with California friends later.
